Visit Auschwitz-Birkenau Concentration Camp Memorial and one of the most important European places of worship of Our Lady – the sanctuary of the Black Madonna of Czestochowa.

It is possible to see both sites in one day, without compromise on time spent at each venue.

This tour – which is in fact a pilgrimage – starts with a visit to Auschwitz-Birkenau Concentration Camp Memorial (ca. 1h 15 min drive from Krakow). Our English speaking driver will take a very good care of you during the tour. You will arrive about half hour before your tour starts, as there’s about 20-25 minutes necessary for the security check - this applies to all types of Auschwitz tours. The driver will stay with you until you meet your local guide at the Museum and join your tour. After about two hours of guided, group tour at Auschwitz I and a short break you will be taken to Auschwitz II-Birkenau where you will continue your guided visit for about an hour (a guided tour in English at Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial and Museum is not included in the total price, entrance tickets are paid additionally).

After your tour there is a lunch break possibility (optional, the price of a lunch is not included in the total cost).

The next item of that whole day tour is a visit to one of the most important sacred sites in Poland and Europe – the Sanctuary of Black Madonna of Czestochowa – Queen of Poland

The sanctuary is one of the most important places of worship of Our Lady and has always been the main centre of pilgrimage in Poland. The site is also very well known under the name of Jasna Gora – where the sanctuary together with Pauline Monastery is located. There is a famous, miraculous Icon of the Black Madonna of Czestochowa and there is a special book kept in the monastery of Jasna Gora, where many miracles that have occurred before the Miraculous Icon have been listed. During visiting the sanctuary you will see the main basilica, the chapel where the Holy Icon of Our Lady is placed, the Way of the Cross of Jasna Gora, the treasury and the 600th Anniversary of Jasna Gora Museum. You will also have time for a prayer and/or for lunch at ‘the pilgrim-house’. The Sanctuary of Jasna Gora was among the favourite destinations of John Paul II. Every year it is visited by a few millions of pilgrims and tourists from all over the world – be one of them.

We strongly recommend choosing a guided tour to the Jasna Gora Monastery, than your sightseeing will become much ore comprehensive. Therefore, do decide to hire private local sanctuary guide (English and other foreign languages are possible). If your group has from 2 to 5 members, guide service costs 260 PLN additionally and visiting lasts about 1-1.5 hour. For larger gropus - 6-10 members the cost of booking a guided tour to the Monastery in English is 60 PLN (14 Euro) per person.
